Military expert Oleh Zhdanov discusses the "Dzvin-AS" automated combat control system, recently adopted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He noted that this system allows for full control of the battlefield situation—from the individual soldier to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
– The integrated fire control system spans from the individual soldier up to the General Staff. All information flows to the General Staff, including feeds from infantry body cameras, onboard cameras from IFVs, APCs, or tanks, and intelligence data. Then, based on AI-driven algorithms, a response command is issued to distribute efforts against the enemy. Some units receive fire missions, while others are assigned tactical tasks on the battlefield, – explained Zhdanov.
According to the expert, similar systems exist in many armies worldwide, particularly in Israel and the United States.
– In its initial versions, this system stops at the stage of proposing decision options. The final decision remains with the human. In the future, I believe that for certain specific or special operations, we will rely entirely on this system. It will make decisions or provide recommendations for executing specific tasks, – added Zhdanov.
