Digital Transformation Committee discusses new legislative initiatives

Today, October 21, 2022, a meeting of the Committee on Digital Transformation took place.

During the meeting, the Committee reviewed Draft Law No. 7468 regarding the taxation of vehicles imported into the customs territory of Ukraine, as well as its alternative, Draft Law No. 7468-1.

Both draft laws aim to enable the submission of electronic customs declarations via the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services.

Committee members support the concept of customs clearance for passenger vehicles based on electronic customs declarations. However, they recommend incorporating specific comments and suggestions.

In addition, the Members of Parliament reviewed the following draft laws:

- No. 8087 on amendments to certain laws of Ukraine regarding urgent measures to strengthen cyber defense capabilities for state information resources and critical information infrastructure objects;

- No. 7722 on the treasury pension plan;

- No. 7723 on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the treasury pension plan. The Committee members recommended its adoption as a basis;

- No. 7724 on amendments to Article 87 of the Budget Code of Ukraine regarding the treasury pension plan. The Committee members recommended its adoption as a basis;

- No. 7497 on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding product labeling via QR codes. The Committee members emphasized their support for the digitalization of business processes, simplification of procedures, and improvements for consumers.

Furthermore, the Committee members decided to hold a roundtable discussion on the topic of "Issues regarding the monitoring of the radio frequency spectrum in Ukraine."
